The Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking III is a powerful tool that identifies the critical thinking skills of candidates with management potential. This is the ability or mental capacity to view a complex business or work situation from multiple perspectives, to separate facts from opinions and assumptions, and to do so often under pressure. This effective assessment tool has now been amply proven and is used effectively by both profit and non-profit organizations to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making in employees.

Critical Thinking is the developable skill of distinguishing facts from assumptions, evaluating arguments and drawing the correct conclusion based on them. In today’s rapidly changing and complex world, Critical Thinking is becoming one of the most important skills of this century. The Watson Glaser III is designed to provide a quick, consistent and accurate picture of employees’ (management) potential for critical thinking. The test is designed to provide a quick, consistent and accurate measurement of the ability to: Analyze, reason, interpret and draw logical conclusions from written information.

The Watson Glaser has five scales that are the building blocks of critical thinking and reasoning. The questions are of varying difficulty and format to measure all areas of critical thinking skills.

The five subtests listed here require different, though interdependent, applications of analytical reasoning in a verbal context.
